HOME  Constitutional Challenges

WE DO NOT KNOW THE VALIDITY OF THIS CLAIM AT THIS TIME.  PLEASE READ WITH CAUTION.

TEXAS:

 Dear NFRC Member;

A fantastic opportunity has come up to fix the child custody system. You can help fix it, and all it takes is two minutes of your time.

One of our members, Jim Loose, has reached a legal standoff in Tarrant County Family Courts, based on a constitutional challenge he is mounting to the entire system. If he succeeds (and we have good reason to believe he has a real chance of success) then within a year or two Texas could lead the nation to a solution of the crisis that has brought us all together.

Jim's challenge to the system is based on the US Constitution's guarantee of Equal Protection of the Law. Jim has filed a case that challenges any child custody schedule other than 50/50 (except when there's abuse or neglect) as unconstitutional. Various legal experts think this challenge has a real shot at working its way up the court system and becoming the law of the land. If Jim wins, we all win because the system that's been working against us will change.
We need your help in order help Jim help us. Without public support, Jim's case may be ignored. With public support, his case will gain significant media attention, which will mean it can't be ignored. Since his argument is very strong, the media pressure on the courts to support the constitution may very well prove decisive.

How can you help in two minutes? Three different emails have been designed for purposes of alerting Jim's judge that he -- along with the whole system -- is in the crosshairs of the American public. Sort of like the old Goldilocks story, there's one email that's hard, one that's soft, and one that's in the middle. In other words, there's an email that's Just Right for everyone. You'll find all three at the bottom of this email. Please copy one (edit it if you like) and email it to Jim at his email address: jameswloose@aol.com

Once Jim has all your emails, he will deliver them in bulk to his judge who will know he's being watched. Make sure your name, physical address, and email address is on the email. Spread it around to your friends, get them to send it to Jim.

We also need as many people as possible to be in the court room to show our support. Join us on February 21 at 10 a.m. in Room 135, Old Courthouse, 100 N. Houston St. (corner of Houston and Belknap) in Ft. Worth. Please take a few hours to change the system-for your children.

Thanks for being a stand up American and proving that the blood of the Founding Fathers of this country still flows in the veins of their descendants. The problem we have IS fixable. Now, when Jim wins, we all win.

Sincerely,

The National Fathers' Resource Center
Fathers For Equal Rights
